Miguel Moreno was born in Granada the 26th of December,
1945
He exhibited his first drawings in an exhibition in Granada organized by the Art Association Alvarez Quintero.
1949
Miguel Moreno entered the School of Applied Arts and Artistic Crafts of Granada, where he attended classes of Art History, Artistic Drawing and Modelling. He did it as a complement to his work at his father's studio of craftsmanship in precious metals, where he really started his artistic career under the guidance of his father, first craftsman, Miguel Moreno Grados.
1952
First prize of sculpture, to a children bust, at the exhibition for new artists organized by the syndical group "Grupo Sindical de Educación y Descanso".
1954
First exhibition of the artistic group "Los Iliberitanos" at Centro Artístico de Granada. Miguel Moreno had belonged to this group, of which he was the youngest member and sole sculptor, for some time. Apart from him, the group was formed by the painters Galán Polaino, Ysmer, Hernández quero, Moleón, Soriano Quiros and García Domínguez . With this group he took part in a great amount of exhibitions around Andalusia.
He took part, too, in the selective exhibition of artists native to Granada, carried out at the savings bank Caja de Ahorros de Granada.
He received a sculpture grant from the Municipal Government of Granada for three consecutive years.
1955
First National Prize in engraving and work in relief.
1959
He took his lecturing at the High School of Fine Arts of San Fernando in Madrid. Meanwhile he worked for the Mint, medal section, as sculptor-engraver.
By the end of the year he settled in Granada and married Purificación García, with whom he would have eight children.
